A business graduate who started his entrepreneurial journey
soon after his studies. He has experience in the financial
markets & international trade.
Mdu provides a unique combination of corporate guidance,
business oversight & investment strategy to Ntsele.
He draws on his extensive national & international
network in the corporate and government sector to
enable Ntsele to engage directly with key stakeholders.
Kulani is the group Chief Financial Officer, with extensive Financial Markets experience, holding a Masters in Development Finance.
Kulani is a self driven individual with an indepth understanding of politics, underpinned by business awareness, analytics, research, valuations, financial modelling & deal execution.
He has accumulated diverse and extensive experience from his 10 years of working at the JSE Equity Trading desk, Investment Analyst at Rand Merchant Bank, the National Empowerment Fund (NEF) , fund executive at the World Bank’s IFC, managing the creation & running of the Affordable Housing Fund & GE Capital Energy Finance Unit(Nairobi & London Office), where he was part of driving energy investment on the continent of Africa.
Nomfundo began her career lecturing African Politics and International Relations at UNISA before she was recruited into South African Secret Service, where she build extensive networks and contacts across Africa and around the world.
An MA from Stellenbosch University and a MSc in Politics of the World Economy from the London School of Economics, was followed by a PhD in International Studies from the University of Cambridge.
After heading the South African Foreign Policy and African Drivers Programme at the South African Institute of International Affairs, Nomfundo moved to the National Treasury of South Africa, as Director for South Africa’s engagements in the BRICS Finance Track.
Working until February 2016, as Chief Director for African Economic Integration at the National Treasury, Nomfundo then became Project Director for the Global Economic Governance Programme and currently leads Ntsele’s group strategy with her deep understanding of the political and economic terrain in the various countries where Ntsele operates and plans to expand.
Nkululeko “Nkulu" Sibiya leads Ntsele’s Corporate Affairs. A consummate professional whose career & skill has been honed by nineteen years of service at AB-InBev, a leading multinational brewer.
Nkulu began his career as a trainee sales rep with South African Breweries & with his star rising, he quickly emerged as a key account manager, a sales & distribution manager, regional manager and ultimately the area corporate affairs manager in the Eastern Cape. He was subsequently appointed post merger of SAB & AB InBev as a National Corporate Affairs Director, making him the custodian of AB InBev’s operational license in Africa.
Nkulu is a multi award winning leader recognised by the Sales Academy as DUX in 2008, a Service Excellence Award in 2017 to name a few.
With the entrepreneurial bug biting, Nkulu joined Mdu, his childhood friend recently to ensure effective mitigation & regulatory risk management within the Ntsele group of companies. He oversees strategic planning & compliance in the groups transformational goals, manages Ntsele’s Government/Stakeholder engagements, resulting in an enhanced business reputation through effective Corporate Social Investment, that makes real impact in the local communities where Ntsele subsidiaries conduct business.
Neli is a determined lady who has distinguished herself as an achiever in her young professional career. She joined the City of Cape Town as HR Professional Officer/ Internal Consultant.
Neli caught the eye of SAB & was head-hunted to join as the youngest HR Business Partner, followed by yet another move to Zanaco Bank head office as HR Business Partner.
Neli has achieved all this whilst reading for her Masters in Industrial Psychology.
Neli is a great example of the talent that Ntsele wants to attract into its various portfolio companies.
