Driven by the core objective of shaping the development agenda for agriculture across the continent, Grant has committed 35 years of dedicated focus to the transformation of the sector. His experience spans operational, developmental and corporate roles and he is equally comfortable in a field, conference or boardroom. Grant advises on food systems strategy at a Ministerial level in 16 African countries. Prior to his present position Grant founded Advance Africa, a leading consultancy in the agriculture and fisheries space, where he played an active role in conceptualising, fund-raising, developing and operating large-scale agribusiness. Grant’s experience is complemented by an MBA (Open University, UK) and he is currently undertaking doctoral research.
Lungelwa holds a Masters Degree in Business Management. With 25 years’ experience spanning across various areas in finance,. corporate finance, risk management and strategy both in the Private and Public Sector in all spheres of Government. She has a strong knowledge and understanding of GRAP, IFRS, PFMA, MFMA, Companies Act and King IV. Some of her strengths include capital raising in the local and international bond market. She has received acknowledgement from National Treasury for well-run finances in terms of a compilation and monitoring of realistically funded and well executed budgets. She currently serves on many audit committees as well as been chairperson of the Investment Committee for Johannesburg Pension Fund, where under her stewardship the Fund asset base has grown from R810 million to R5 billion.
Nthabiseng is an admitted attorney and notary. She has over 20 years' experience in the financial services sector from being a junior legal advisor to holding senior managerial positions. She has a B.A and an LLB from the University of Witwatersrand. A Certificate Course for being a Director from The Institute of Directors South Africa, a Financial Management Certificate from Damelin, Women’s Development Programme Certificate from Da Vinci, Short Course Finance Certificate for Non- Finance Managers and a General Management Certificate from GIBS. She has been involved in conducting legal due diligences, drafted legal documents, conclusion of the Gautrain Project, Prasa rolling-stock fleet RFP (legal advisory) including cross-border transactions such as the water purification plant in Khartoum (Sudan).
Cindy has over 26 years' experience in the mining industry as an ESG and Sustainability Executive. She has worked in senior positions for global giants such as Sasol, Anglo Gold Ashanti and Implats. She has a BSc in Chemistry and Biology, an MBA and an MSc in Technology and Innovation. Her work entails comprehending diverse portfolios spanning areas such as environmental, procurement, sales, investor relations, legal, human resources, and social aspects, across various jurisdictions. She specializes in addressing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) matters, offering strategy development, corporate guidance, and execution based on sustainable development principles like UNGDS, EITI, IFC, and the United Nations Global Compact. She also possesses project management expertise, research and development skills, and has overseen social impact assessment programs in all three organizations she has worked for. She has served on the Boards of Impala Platinum Limited, Impala Platinum Investments, Rompco in the capacity of Executive Director and was a Non-executive Director at the National Business Initiative (NBI) in South Africa and chair of its Social and Ethics Committee from March 2019 to October 2020 when she left Sasol. She has recently done consulting for a JSE listed company on ESG and Sustainability matters.
Neli is a determined lady who has distinguished herself as an achiever in her young professional career. She holds a Masters Degree in Industrial Psychology from Wits University. She joined the City of Cape Town as an HR Professional Officer/ Internal Consultant. Neli caught the eye of SAB & was head-hunted to join as the youngest HR Business Partner, followed by yet another move to Zanaco Bank head office as HR Business Partner. Neli achieved all this whilst reading for her Masters Degree. She is a great example of the talent that Ntsele wants to attract into its various portfolio of companies and leads group HR & Wellness.
